It is one of the high altitude lake trek which is in chamoli district of Uttarakhand. This trek starts from mana village which passes through Badrinath. Satopanth lake is located at 4600m above the sea level. Satopanth tal is a crystal clear green water in triangular shape. This untouched lake is just 22km from the holy town of Badrinath. Many people believes trimoortis i.e. Brahma, Vishnu, Mahesh bath in the lake in an auspicious day. Some type of bird found here which pick out pollution from the lake. These birds are only found in satopanth lake. While trekking on this route one can witness balakun peak, kuber top, mt. neelkantha & mt. swargrohini. From September to mid of may the lake remains under the snow.

This trek is moderate to difficult and cannot be done by everyone. Physical fitness is necessarily required for this high altitude trek. The satopanth lake trek is a bit hazardous but the risk is well rewarded with unparalleled scenic views. While doing this trek one has the opportunity to witness waterfall i.e. Vasundhara falls. This trek across over the natural rock bridge i.e. Bhim pul. One can also get the opportunity to hike on Dhano Glaciers. The ideal time to visit satopanth lake is summer(mid may- June)  and post monsoon (Sep – oct). during November to may mid the lake is covered with snow.

Day 01:- Rishikesh To Badrinath

Early morning Pickup from Rishikesh and uphill drive to Badrinath. Lunch and refreshment will be served to trekkers in between the journey. On arrival check in to the hotel. On dinner table discussion about the next day trek.

Day 02:- Badrinath – Mana- Lakshmi Van

Post breakfast checkout from hotel and move forward to mana(3km) from where trekkers will start there trek. After getting permits checked trekkers will move forward to Vasundhara falls where trekker will absorb the beauty of the waterfall. In between the trek trekkers will get served there lunch. After that trekkers will move forward to laxmi van.

After 4km walk on the beautiful trek trekkers will come across the campsite in laxmi van where they will stay overnight.

Day03:- Lakshmi Van – Chakratirtha

After having breakfast and capturing the beautiful sunrise view gear up to chakratirtha. One the way trekkers will witness colourful alpine flowers blooming in the valley. Between the trek trekkers will get served there lunch. On reaching the campsite trekkers will view the west face of mt. Neelkanth. Overnight stay in camp with bonfire & and delicious dinner.

Day 04:- Chakratirtha – Satopanth Lake – Chakratirtha

After early morning breakfast will move to our todays destination i.e. satopanth and will be back to chakratirtha in evening. This day trek will be difficult because trekkers have to deal with a couple of steep slopes & walk over the loose soil over the glacial moraines.

Visit to the holy lake and one can see mouni baba(who stopped talking from a very long time) near the lake. After spending some time in satopanth lake and having lunch here trekkers will be back to chakratirtha. Trekkers will share there experience and views in camp.

Day 05:- Chakratirtha – Badrinath

Early morning breakfast and trek back to Mana village which is around 15km from chakratirtha(5-6hrs). lunch will get served to trekkers between the trek. After reaching Mana(THE LAST INDIAN VILLAGE) trekkers will have a hot cup of tea and refreshment which will take all our stress away

Later will move to Badrinath and check in to hotel. One can Visit to the badrivishal temple(may to oct).

Day 06:- Badrinath To Rishikesh

Early morning breakfast and checkout. Back to Rishikesh via. Same route. Lunch and refreshment in hotel between the journey. We will drop trekkers in Rishikesh by evening.
