Kedarkantha Peak Trek can be conducted around the year but the mesmerizing views in winter (dec-april) cannot be compared with summer times. The beautiful campsite makes this trek more popular from where one can view the beautiful sunset. From the summit we can view swargrohini, black peak, Bandarpoonch, among the Gangotri and yamunotri ranges which is jaw dropping.

This 5 days itinerary traverse through Dehradun – mussoorie – nawgaon – purola – mori – Sankri. The distance between Dehradun to Sankri is around 220 km which take 7 to 8 hrs drive.

Day 01:  Arrival at Sankri
Pickup from Dehradun and uphill drive to Sankri. Sankri is located at a distance of 220kms from Dehradun. It’s a long scenic drive providing absolute comfort to the trekkers so that they can enjoy the beauty of the location. The journey is a long one and takes about evening to reach the destination. In the midst one can enjoy the lunch break at the popular eateries having some local food and homemade spices. The last 22 kms to Sankri is all the more exciting since it travels through the avid collection of flora typical of this region and not found in any other location of the country. However, on reaching the destination one can check in to the prior booked hotel and our representative can help with the check in formalities. One can have dinner at the hotel premises or can enjoy dinner at the dhabas to taste some local flavours and experience the cuisine of the area.

Day 2:  Trek From Sankri To Juda Ka Taal ( 9000ft)
Remote Lake, Pond, Pine and Oak Trees, Himalayan Backdrop. Trekking from village Sankri towards Juda ka Talaab after having a wholesome nutritious breakfast and some training for the trek. This remote lake tucked away in the grandeur of the snow-capped mountains is the ideal place to camp for the ever-changing scenes bring alive the natural kaleidoscope with every change in light. Gaze at stars and enjoy the twilight camping site.

Day 3:  Trek From Juda Ka Taal To Kedarkantha Base (11250ft)
Green Pastures, Wild flora, Undulating Meadows, Snow-capped Mountains, Forest Trek. Next day starts with an aim to reach at the base camp of Kedarkantha peak. It’s the most enthralling trail with finest stretches and leaves us behind with unforgettable experiences. Trek through forest heavily occupied by pine and oak trees that give these mountains its distinct charm. Arrive at an open meadow at the summit’s base, set up camp for the night and good night!

Day 4:  Trek To Kedarkantha Summit And Descend To Hargaon Base/Juda Ka Taal (8900ft)
Gangotri and Yamunotri Ranges, Ascending and Descending Trek. It’s going to be a long day so healthy breakfast is a must. We shall be ascending to the Kedarkantha peak (3,850m). The climb is steep but worthwhile and one with rewarding views. Lunch will be against a stunning backdrop of the Gangotri and Yamunotri ranges. Then our descending trekking will be started towards Hargaon and the twilight camping will be there.

Day 5:  Trek From Hargaon Back To Sankri (6500ft) And Drive Back To Dehradun
It’s time to backpack to Sankri, along with open views of snow covered mountains and down hill villages . And finally reach at Sankri in guest house and we will provide you certificate of completion of trek . Then we will depart in same cab you opt for sharing and drive back to Dehradun and reach Dehradun by 8-9 pm on day 5. Here we say Good Bye with keen to see you on any other treks or trip with us .
